Week Eight

*How do you feel about western approaches to HIV/AIDS?
I think most of the time still we need to approach and use strong western medicine.
But we had better not using it always. Sometimes western approache is too strong for us.

*Can TCM strengthen our immune systems?
Yes,I think that it can.Especially for strenghen the spleen and stomach that is to get source of energy for our body function.

*What do you think of “the deal that saved the whale”?
As you might know Japan has custum to eat whale long time ago.But these days we are not so common that custum in Japan . Because we feel that custom devates from social world common sense.I feel so sorry (I am ashamed ) to say that the Japanese still continuing to catch the whale ...They say that whaling for some research however I am not sure it is necessary or not.
But now I am glad learning that people try to save the whale. Whale has a huge body but might be difficult to survive. They need help from us.

Week Seven

How sophisticated is our understanding of cancer?
and
How does a TCM approach to cancer differ?
I think most important thing is a stance of patient and who has be able to fight with cancer on treatment.Of course it is a common understanding both of them (between Western Medicine and TCM).

On the treatment of TCM that can be effective for pain and strengthen immunity system. But it always needs patiant's motivation. It is a challenge how to rise and make mood of patient who will be able to fight with cancer.

Are our genes still being shaped by natural selection?
Yes, I think so. I have heard before that a many children lack their standerd number of tooth by comparison with it of our generation . Because our eating habit has been changed lately that we prefer soft food than hard(or firm or tough) food therefore new generation getting small jaw and there is not enough space to fill in standerd number of tooth.
It has been happened that I think our genes still being shaped by natural selection.

Week six

How do you distinguish between living and nonliving systems?

I think living system has some energy but nonliving system does not have any energy.

What do you feel is the significance of the use of language and tools in chimps?

Wow they can use many things! When I went to SF zoo almost two years ago I saw a gorilla in side fence he looks like boss. He has a big family(colony) about 20 gollira in there. He sat down one place and watched safety of his colony. He seemed like guard from first to last.If I have a chance to go there I would like watching him again.

"Chinese Medicine Gaining Respectability in West"?

I hope it does but I think it still does not have gaining respectability in West . I am living in berkeley in where many asian people are living and who live in here many people has interest in chainese Medicine.
But probably that kind of interest is only a few states in U.S. My friend said to me if Oprah or Obama who has powerful voice announced this; "I usually take a Chinese Medicine instead of westan medicine" it will be more quick spread in the U.S.
I have been lived in here almost two year now I felt possibillity of Chainese Medicine in the United States.

I feel that Chainese Medicine still have a chance more receive wide in the world.
